The Pianist (2002) – IMDb

This was a very personal and painful journey because of the brilliant acting of Adrian Brody.  When he was cold, I felt cold, when he was hungry, I felt hunger.  When his friends and family were humiliated and killed and sent to their deaths in the Death Camps, I felt every painful emotion conveyed in that film.  This is not a easy film to watch.

A brilliant pianist, a Polish Jew, witnesses the restrictions Nazis place on Jews in the Polish capital, from restricted access to the building of the Warsaw ghetto. As his family is rounded up to be shipped off to the Nazi labor camps, he escapes deportation and eludes capture by living in the ruins of Warsaw. Written by Anonymous

    • Thanks for your comments, this film was beyond brilliant. A story that had to be told, troubling, unsettling, it is so hard to realize that there is that kind of evil in the world, how does it exist, and where does that evil come from?
